Department of Transportation Livability Initiative
In early December, Secretary LaHood announced $280 million for urban circulator, bus, and bus facility projects which support the Department of Transportation Livability Initiative. Project proposals are due in February 2010 with expected project selection by summer 2010.

Guidance on H1N1 and Transit
National Transit Institute (NTI) in collaboration with FTA is scheduling a series of half-day regional train-the-trainer sessions for a new course, Understanding H1N1 Risks in the Transportation Sector. Participants will receive a package including presentation materials and resources for delivery of a two-hour employee awareness program.
