Guidance on H1N1 and Transit
National Transit Institute (NTI) in collaboration with FTA is scheduling a series of half-day regional train-the-trainer sessions for a new course, Understanding H1N1 Risks in the Transportation Sector. This course was developed with funding from the Department of Homeland Security’s Science and Technology Directorate through the National Transportation Security Center of Excellence. Participants will receive a package including presentation materials and resources for delivery of a two-hour employee awareness program. - The Pandemic Solutions Network is dedicated to reducing the impact of the H1N1 pandemic, by sharing the latest information, resources, and solutions among the Network's more than 100,000 members. FTA Recognizes Public Transportation Providers for Excellence
Peter Rogoff, FTA's Administrator, presented the Outstanding Achievement Award for Excellence in Environmental Document Preparation to two transit agencies and their partners for creating environmental documents that are clear, concise, accessible to the public, and consistent with environmental laws and regulations at the 2009 APTA Annual Meeting in Orlando, Florida.
